All of our over-the-range microwaves like the JVM6175SKSS offer a 3 1/4" x 10" duct opening in the same basic location on the back to vent the unit outside. If needed, the unit can also be vented out the top or converted for internal (recirculating) venting using the charcoal filter we include with the microwave.
