“The sensor light for the charcoal filter in the hood came on. I removed the filter and washed it. I then reinstalled back into the microwave. How do I shut off the red light for the charcoal filter?”

Hi - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195SKSS. We are happy to provide assistance with the filters. Press the Reset Filter pad on the control panel for 3 seconds to reset the filter light. This model is equipped with optional charcoal filter WB06X10807. If the model is not vented to the outside, the air will be recirculated through this disposable charcoal filter that helps remove smoke and odors. If this model is vented outdoors, the charcoal filter is not necessary. Note: The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned. It must be replaced when it is noticeably dirty or discolored (usually after 6 to 12 months, depending on usage). This model also has reusable metal grease filters underneath. The vent filters should be cleaned once a month, or as needed. There is not a filter light for these grease filters.
