“I need to replace my XL1800 Spacemaker (JVM1850CD). It is white and mounted over an oven. It seems to vent forward (into the kitchen) and definitely not out of the house. Is the JNM7196DKWW a close replacement? Would it use the same mounting?”

Yes, this model does not need to be vented outdoors .

THEY WILL THEN HAVE TO CHECK THE OUTSIDE VENT TO SEE IF IT IS; 1) PRESENT; 2) IF NOT THEY WILL HAVE TO MAKE A VENT HOLE; AND 3) THEY WILL THEN HAVE TO PLACE A PART THAT SHOULD COME WITH THE MICROWAVE AND APPLY IT PROPERLY SO THAT IT CAN VENT. I RECENTLY HAD ONE INSTALLED AND DID NOT NEED THE PART BECAUSE THE VENRT HOLE WAS ALREADY IN PLACE AND THE INSTALLERS JUST USED THE OLD VENT OPENING WITHOUT ANY FURTHER ADJUSTMENTS. YO SHOULD BE FINE. MY SERIAL # IS DNM7196DK3WW
