Hello and thank you for the excellent question. We are always happy to help. The recommended measurements for installation can be seen on page 7 of the installation instructions here: https://files.bbystatic.com/D8505xASz7TWU7wUCScjfA%3D%3D/873749db-f7cc-47f6-a6e6-85f440aa17e5.pdf The bottom of the cabinet that the microwave will be attached to show be 66" above the floor and 30" above the cooktop. These measurements are minimums. This is no maximum measurement, although keep in mind that the further away from the cooking surface, the less effective the vent fan will be. Keep in touch! - JB
