I understand that many freezers do no perform well above 110 degrees. My AC technician was here just before the freezer came and I asked about the temperature in my non ventilated garage during our hot and humid summers. He thought I should be OK. You'll need to get some idea of how hot your garage gets in the summer. I decided that I would probably save a lot by not wasting food during the other three seasons. I am filling the freezer with prepared individual meals, as I prefer to cook more at one time. I will probably not keep it so full of food (substitute ice) during the summer due to the heat and possibility of hurricanes in my part of the world. These are my thoughts. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi WelTroBoll - To obtain efficient operation, a freezer should be installed in a dry, well ventilated room where the surrounding external temperatures will not exceed 110 degrees F. or fall below 0 degrees F. Thanks for checking with us! SUEatGEA
