“My ice maker light says time to clean. How do we go about cleaning it. I already cleaned out all the ice. Light still stays on. Where is the water filter located”

Hi Kinsey- Thanks for choosing GE! The unit will alert you when it is time to clean the product. On the control panel, the Time To Clean light will glow yellow when it is time to clean the machine. The light will come on after 6 months of use and will remain on until the system is cleaned. Cleaning the ice machine involves adding a solution of scale remover and water (3oz. remover to 1 gallon of water) to the ice machine and continuing to add it as it makes ice.
