A:AnswerHi Jacob- We are excited to hear of your interest! The large capacity bin holds 26 lbs. of nugget ice, and can produce up to 80 lbs. a day. The chewable nugget ice size varies but is approximately 1/4" in diameter. We hope this helps. Keep in touch! SUEatGEA
A:AnswerHi finnjam- The ice machine is designed for quiet operation but will make some noise during the ice making cycle. See the following link- ICE MACHINE - OPERATION OF NUGGET ICE MODEL UNC15NJII: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=23406 - Thanks for choosing GE! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerHi - We appreciate your interest in this great freestanding GE nugget ice maker. These ice makers do not cool the ice compartment like a refrigerator or freezer. The temperature of the bin relies on the ice made to stay cool. The design intent is that the unit makes ice and that ice continuously melts. We hope you choose our GE ice maker for your home. Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerHi - According to the Installation Instructions for the icemaker, yes. This machine can be supplied with Reverse Osmosis water, but the water conductivity must be no less than 10 microSiemens/cm. A reverse osmosis system should include post treatment or blending to satisfy the R.O. water's potential aggressiveness. We do hope this model will work for you. All our best! Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerThe ice machine comes with an unfinished door and no handle. This model requires a custom panel for the door and you supply your own handle. My cabinet maker is making a panel so the ice machine will blend in with the rest of the cabinetry and I purchased a handle to match the other hardware in the kitchen.

A:AnswerHi Robin- This is a gravity drain model that must have a building drain connection below the level of the drain tube at the back of the cabinet. A pump can be installed, which can force drain water up a max. of 10 feet, allowing it to be located where a gravity drain isn't available- Optional Ice Maker Drain Pump Kit (UPK3) sold separately. See page 6 of the Installation Guide: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60744-4.PDF - Keep in touch! Sue

A:AnswerHi - Thank you for having purchased a GE icemaker. We are sorry to hear you are having difficulty scooping ice into your glass and will gladly share your insight with our product design team. We do not offer any accessory items that can be used to help in scooping ice into your glass or for catching any ice that might miss your glass. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerHello- Thanks so much for your question. The water connection is in the back and it will add a few inches to the cabinet depth. We recommend having at least 24 inches of space for the depth to give it the built in appearance. Please review pages 8-9 in the installation instructions. https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-1000436.pdf Here's a link to view the specifications: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=UNC15NJII_c3%202.pdf If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
