• Hello. Thank you for your question; we are happy to help! Yes, the sliding basket can be moved from side to side or it can be removed when loading or unloading the food below it. To remove the basket, lift it straight up and out. To replace the basket, lower basket back into place. We appreciate your interest! Thanks for checking. Olga
