“How long does this AC take to start cooling? I installed it per instructions, and had it running for 2 hours at the lowest cooling temperature. When I switched it to Fan Only, it showed the room temperature as 87 degrees. Also, no water is dripping.”

While the air conditioner should start cooling right away, it may take some time to cool the room down to your desired temperature as the unit not only cools the air, it also must remove the heat from any furniture, rugs, walls or draperies in the area. The design of the unit is such that you may only see water dripping from the back of the unit after several hot and humid days. If your air conditioner is still not cooling properly, we recommend contacting Best Buy directly by calling 1-800-433-5887. for assistance. -Vikki@GEAppliances
