“1. Does the light bulb have a plastic cover to protect it? This someone seems to be unprotected (vs other brands). 2. There is sweating/condensation around the freezer door (the fridge part seems to be fine). Is this normal? See pictures.”

There is no cover for the light bulb. And there should be no condensation around the freezer door.

Hello Ed, I am happy to help. There is not a cover for the bulb. As far as the condensation, check the gaskets for any damage. Make sure the freezer is closing properly and not popping open.
