There is one temperature control for both the freezer and the refrigerator. It seems to do well in providing proper temperatures for both compartments.

Hi Lakenancy - Thanks for viewing GE Model GTE18GTNRCC! The easy-to-use controls regulates both fresh food and freezer sections. There is not a separate freezer control. The fresh food control regulates how long the compressor runs, and in effect, how cold both compartments can become.
