• A:Answer Thank you for asking this great question! We comply with all federal, state, and international requirements regarding hazardous substances and meet those standards. We also comply with federal and state chemical labeling laws, like California Proposition 65. The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean the product is unsafe or poses a health risk. Over 800 chemicals are on this list, including wood dust, nickel (found in stainless steel), nicotine, and alcohol. Additionally, even inaccessible parts can create a requirement to include the warning. We understand our customers concerns; however, we are unable to provide detailed information about what causes the Prop 65 warning to apply. We hope this helps, wishing you well – Matthew@GEA

Q: QuestionI saw an answer from Sylvia@GEA that there is no specific drawer for fruits or vegetables. My question is why does Page 7 of GE Top-Freezer Refrigerator Manual show this? I put a bag of lettuce in the bin a day ago and the lettuce is getting wilted.

• A:Answer I switched the door. It requires the removal of a few screw and moving the some hardware from one side to the other. There are directions in the owners manual.

• A:Answer Glad you asked this question. We understand how that could be frustrating. Leveling legs near each front corner of the refrigerator are adjustable. They firmly position the refrigerator and prevent it from moving when the doors are opened. Leveling legs should be set so the front of the refrigerator is raised just enough that the doors close easily when opened about halfway.
