Hi Stef- Welcome to the GE Appliances Family! The refrigerator has an internal water dispenser and factory-installed icemaker with water filtration system. The icemaker will make a buzzing sound when it's trying to fill with water. If the buzzing noise can be heard approximately every 15 minutes, check and make sure the icemaker is turned off if water is not connected or turned off. This is most likely to occur with a brand new installation. See the following link to view video: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16833 - See page 14 of the Owner's Manual regarding turning off the icemaker: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60758-2.PDF - We hope this is helpful. Thanks for choosing GE. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
