Dont let GE fool you into buying a new trim kit and a very expensive Profile Series. I had the same model and when it broke I went and bought a JES2051SN4SS FOR $179. The one GE told me I needed was $380 plus they said I needed a new $250 trim kit. Nope. The old trim kit worked perfectly. Its identical with all the screw holes and easy to install. Took me 15 minutes to put on the trim kit and reinstall the new microwave.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just wanted to chime in and confirm that this works with the old trim kit. My JEB1860SM1SS died the other day. After looking here, I decided to give this model a try and it does fit perfectly in the old trim kit. Photo attached. Thanks for the help guys.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Wanted to chime in. Our Jeb1860 died a few days ago. It was 8 years old. We purchased a JES2051DNBB and it worked with the old trim kit. The screw placements were correct, but needed washers in order to lay flat. Hope this saves others a ton of money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Measure the OPENING (Length & Height) of existing Trim Kit. (THIS is what I had to do when looking for a Microwave to fit existing trim kit.) My Microwave set on top of a platform inside cabinet so what I did was first to measure the length and height of my existing Microwave. (DO NOT accept the HEIGHT Level show of Microwave in Specification Section of Microwave at website). This is because the True height of your microwave should be measured by you so when you measure go from top of Microwave to Bottom of undercarriage of Microwave (you'll notice your undercarriage has 4 small black legs). This represents the TRUE Height of the Microwave you are viewing. Look for Microwave that fit your own measurements! The VERY BEST method to ensure the correct fit is to take both your existing trim kit plus the base platform (if you have a platform it sets on) directly in the store. Place the Existing Trim Kit over the Microwave you are viewing and make certain it fits and you can open the door of the Microwave with trim kit around it. Next, if you have a platform, have the sales person set the Microwave upon your Platform where the legs of Microwave fit into the open round slots for these legs. Now, put the existing Trim Kit over the Microwave and hit button to Open Microwave Door and see if it swings open with ease. This absolutely works by having the components from your existing Microwave in the store with you when you purchase your new Microwave. It worked for me while testing on a Samsung and GE Microwave in Best Buy. There was a Clear Choice based on Fit. This saved me over $200 by not having to purchase a new Trim Kit. Good Luck in your Purchase!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am grateful to have run across this question and the responses given. In August 2021, our 10 yr old GE MW (JEB1860SM1SS) ceased to work other than the timer! I was able to find and purchase a new GE MW (JES2051SN4SS) based on the previous responses to the initial question. It fit like a glove and I was able to reuse the complete surround system including the elevated base, exhaust duct and SS surround trim.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes confirming it still works... this model (JES2051SNSS) fits perfectly with the original trim kit for my GE JEB1860SM1SS . I was concerned because in the specs the turntable is about 2 inches more in diameter, but it's the same size unit, just with a larger edge to edge turntable. All the screw holes lined up perfectly, just needed a screewdriver to wedge the frame around it and line up the screw holes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just took off my trim frame and dropped in a GE #JES2051SNSS. BAMMM!!! almost perfect fit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yup, i can also confirm that this model worked great. It was an exact match and the trim fits perfect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am now part of the replace a GE 1860 microwave club. It was about 20 years old. I read a answer about using JES2051SN4SS. I found one on display at a Best Buy. Took my old trim with me to be sure it fit. I had to shim the left side 1/4 which was easy. My unit as a bottom attachment plate to help hold the microwave in place in the cabinet .I used 1/4 thick piece of steel that I got at Home Depot and cut it with a drimmel tool about 8 1/2 in long. On right, you attach the bottom attachment plate to the bottom of the microwave and then on the LEFT SIDE I drilled a small hole in the center of the shim that got at Home Depot. ( You will need a little long screw for the left side ) You put the screw thru the bottom attachment plate, thru the shim and then into the bottom of the microwave. The holes on bottom and on back edge matched perfectly. Not sure if you have the same trim kit or bottom attachment plate as me but it worked out me, FINALLY. This plan would probally work with the LG LMC2075ST also. Hope this helped .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Do you know the model # or the dimensions of the old trim kit?
