This is typically a very small amount and is perfectly normal. An electrical odor in new machines can also be normal because the electronic board is "curing" as the circuit board material is heated for first few uses. If the electrical odor continues or is strong, then we recommend discontinue using the microwave until it can be repaired or replaced. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
