Hi - The compact washer is 2.8 cu.ft. capacity. For comparison, a full size washer is 4.2 cu. ft. - 5.0 cu. ft. While not all comforters are the same size/thickness, you can wash a comforter as long as it fits below the balance ring of the washer tub and is not stuffed in the tub tightly.
