Hi Jeanne - Thanks for choosing GE Model GNE21FMKES! Attach the handle to the mounting fasteners by aligning the slots on the handle with the mounting fasteners. The trick is to stand at the left end of the freezer handle and grab the handle and pull towards you until you feel a "click".
