It's actually surprisingly quiet. Although you can hear it, it's a pretty subtle hum. And I have to say, it's pretty efficient so it doesn't run much anyway. As someone that is conscious of sounds/noises, I have no complaints. It's a nice fridge.

The type of installation (built-in or freestanding), floor type (wood, tile, carpet) and room acoustics can all affect the normal operating sounds that you may hear.
