QuestionI do not have a hook up for water. Will it still make ice cubes if I pour water into it? Is there a way to pour water into the ice cube maker?

- Answer Hello Ed, This is Joyce from GE Appliances. I will be happy to help! We recommend hooking the water line up to the refrigerator so you can take full advantage of all of the features. You can try pouring about 4 oz. of water in the icemaker mold and waiting about 2 hours. I hope this helps! Have a great day!

- Answer The ice maker produces crescent shaped cubes. You can choose whole cubes or crushed ice at the dispenser on the door. -Vikki@GEAppliances

- Answer Our counter-depth refrigerators aren't as deep and sit closer to your cabinets. They aren't as completely flush to your cabinets as a built-in model would be, but our counter-depth models help provide a built-in appearance at a lower cost than a built-in model. The overall depth of this unit is 29 1/2".

QuestionCan it be used without the filter?

- Answer Yes, this refrigerator can be used without a filter by using the filter bypass plug. You must use the filter bypass plug when a filter cartridge is not available. The dispenser and the icemaker will not operate without the filter or filter bypass plug. To learn more, check out the Filter Bypass Plug section on page 8 of the Owner’s Manual, which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the product page of the Best Buy website. QuestionI have a 36" opening with 1 1/2 inches of clearance on the right side to a short wall, which extends 4 inches out from the fridge. My current fidge has a zero clearance door, so it works fine. Will the door for this GE fridge open properly? Thanks
