“I have 36 inches in width. BUT there is a wall on the right side that extends past refrigerator. What clearance is needed to open the right ride of the "french door"?”

Hi CoastalJewel- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for your consideration! The interior drawers can be accessed with the door(s) at 90 degrees, most product specifications list the Width w/Door Open 90 Degrees. Additional clearance may be needed to remove the drawers, or to open the door(s) if the adjacent wall or cabinets are deeper than the refrigerator case depth (depth w/o doors). 17" recommended clearance on French door models (this applies to each side if necessary).
