• We just had it installed -- our opening is only 33.5", and the frige fits perfectly! I'm enclosing pictures showing the opened doors.

• Hello NL! This is Lida with GE Appliances. You will need 40-7/8" in width to be able to open the doors 90 degrees. Thank you for checking!

• Approx 63", say 64" to be safe. However the doors only open about 90% of the way, not flush with the sides when fully open.
