Hello Mrjan - We appreciate your interest and we are happy to help! Tall tub dishwashers are 15% larger than our standard tub in our ADA and short door dishwashers. These tub interiors are both taller and wider than the standard tub. In addition, the tubs are shallower so they can be installed flush in standard cabinets. They are designed to optimize tub dimensions and provide "more space in the same place" as traditional tubs. This dishwasher will fit in a standard opening. We are glad you checked. Olga

A tall tub dishwasher does still fit into a standard size opening. the bottom area where the connections are made is just a smaller area to make up for the room to allow the tub to be taller.
