QuestionI need a DW that is 34 inches tall or less. Will this dishwasher fit since in the specs it says it is 34 inches tall and the cut out requirement is 33.5. On other sites it says you must have a minimum of 34.5 inches for install of this same product.

- Answer Hi there! We appreciate your question and are happy to help. We're sorry for the confusion on the cutout dimensions for this dishwasher. We see how this can be frustrating. We found that the cutout height should be 33 1/2” to 34 3/4” from the underside of the countertop to the floor. We hope this helps! Stay safe. Emily@GEA

QuestionWe just installed this model (in black). We ran a cycle and are very annoyed by the high-pitched whining sound of the motor. Overall it is quieter than our older model but the whining is very annoying. Is this sound normal?

QuestionDoes the heated dry option work as a stand alone function; or, do you have to run the dishes through a wash cycle for the heated dry to kick in? Sometimes I may just want to dry/warm already cleaned dishes. Thanks!

- Answer Hi, thanks for reaching out to us! We appreciate you choosing a GE dishwasher for your home and are happy to answer this for you. When the Heated Dry and/or Dry Boost option is selected, the heater is turned on for fast drying and this will extend the time of your wash cycle. You cannot enable one of the drying features to run on their own without running one of the wash cycles first, as these act as extensions of the wash cycles.
