Hi FarmGirl - The dishwasher has a pressure fill float switch but does time out after 90 seconds. The flood float switch signals to the dishwasher when to stop filling to keep it from overfilling with water. The hot water supply line pressure must be 20-120 PSI. Water line should be 3/8" O.D. minimum copper tubing. Using a water line that is too small will restrict proper water flow into dishwasher.
