Hello Patti, Thank you for reaching out to us. We will be happy to assist you. We want to apologize that your dishwasher is not performing to your standards. This is not the quality we strive to achieve. If your dishwasher is starting out with cold water, then it is recommended that before running the dishwasher you run hot water from your kitchen sink. The optimal temperature will be between 120 and 150 degrees F. You can measure this by running water over a candy or meat thermometer. To address the issue of longer cycles, this is normal and may be the result of the turbidity sensor detecting soil in the water. For the best performance it is recommended you allow the cycle to finish. We hope this information has been helpful. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. -MH
