  • QuestionHow come it doesn’t dry the dishes like it supposed to?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hello- Thanks for reaching out. We are happy to help! Your model has the new Dry Boost feature. It is a new drying option that targets hard-to-dry items like plastics. It significantly improves the drying performance, providing up to 3 times better drying compared to a Heated Dry option. Please be sure you are selecting the Dry Boost on your control panel. For the best drying results you'll also want to be sure you are doing the following: Check to make sure the water coming in to the dishwasher is 120 degrees F or higher. (Turning your hot water on first before turning the dishwasher on will help). Use a rinse agent. A rinse agent will accelerate the drying process. Rinse aids help keep water from forming droplets that will dry into spots on the dishes. Check the level of the rinse agent tank periodically and refill as necessary. Use the Dry Boost Option. Using Dry Boost will turn on the heating element in the dishwasher and this will speed up the drying process although it will increase the overall length of the cycle. If you are doing all of the above, we recommend reaching out to GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737. Thank you! Joyce@GEA

  • QuestionIs this an "open bottom" dishwasher?

    Asked by SIUMom.

  • QuestionHow do you hook up the water line to the dishwasher in the back

    Asked by Jmoney.

    • Answer If you don't have the instructions that came with the unit, you can search for them online. It should be a simple task to connect the water line, but depending on your clearance, you may need the 90 degree 'elbow' connector (common at any home improvement store).

  • QuestionDoes GE model GDT630PYRFS have an internal hot water heater to boost the temperature from cold to 120 degrees? The rate of water flow to the dishwasher is inadequate to activate the tank-less hot water heater so need dishwasher to heat the water.

    Asked by GEQuestion.

    • Answer Yes it does. I've never heard of a dishwasher that doesn't have a built in water heater. You only hook dishwashers up to a cold water input line.

  • QuestionIs it normal for water to remain where the filter is located? It fills that well and never completely drains.

    Asked by Holm.

    • Answer It's normal for a little bit of water to remain but you usually can't see it if the filter is on. It may be a sign of a clog in the line. Try turning on your garbage disposal to clear any debris where the line connects to the sink.

  • QuestionWhat is dBA?

    Asked by Brenda.

    • Answer The term dBA refers to the noise level as measured in decibels (dB). The louder the noise, the higher the decibels. So, a quieter dishwasher would have a lower number dBA.
