  • QuestionDoes this dishwasher have heated drying options?

    • Answer Hi BOBCU - Thanks for your interest in GE! Model GDT226SSLSS has Condensate Dry and not Heated Dry. Condensate Dry is an energy-efficient drying system on some dishwashers. With this drying system design, condensation will form on cooler surfaces in a warm humid environment. At the end of a cycle, while the dish load is still hot, the stainless steel tub walls are already cooling down and pulling condensation to form on the tub walls instead of the dishes. This provides natural air drying of the dish load. The use of a rinse agent ensures spot and film protection for dishes and assists the drying process. Keep in touch! Sue

  • QuestionHi, does this dishwasher come with the hardware required in order to side-mount it to the cabinets to the left and right of the dishwasher? (the cut-out space I am working with has a granite countertop on top, so the dishwasher cannot be top-mounted).

  • QuestionJust installed the dishwasher, but door doesn’t stay shut...Any tips on troubleshooting this, or do I need to schedule Geek Squad to come out and look at it???

    • Answer Hi there, There could be a few reasons as to why you are having issues with closing your door completely. Make sure that nothing is blocking the door, such as a lid or a utensil. You could also check to make sure that the dishwasher is level and that it was installed correctly. If you have doubts about installation, we would recommend contact your installer to double check.   • QuestionHow can I tell when the dishwasher has completed the job ? GE dishwasher model GDT 226 (ADAcompliant)

    • Answer It has a "Clean" indicator light -- but with the control panel on top, the lights are hidden when the door is closed! Not a great design. Looking directly at the gap I can see that just one light is on when the cycle is finished.
