  • QuestionWill this 24" pedestal work with GE model GFW850SSNWW washer? The sales associate sold me this pedestal and now I am looking at the dimensions and the washer appears to be larger than the pedestal.

    • Answer Hey there! We appreciate your interest in a pedestal for your front-load washer, and are sorry to hear your current pedestal doesn't appear to be a good fit for your unit. We know that may be an inconvenience. We can advise model GFW850SSNWW can be installed with a pedestal, but it would actually be compatible with part number GFP1528SNWW, rather than the one you purchased. You may be able to obtain that pedestal with your local dealer, or if necessary you can reach out to our parts department at 1-877-959-8688.   • QuestionMy new washer machine shaking too mouth that’s normal?

    • Answer Hello and this is usually caused by the appliance either not being level or from unbalanced load. You need to check to make sure washer is level front to back and left to right using a level. You provided us the accessory number for a pedestal and it too has leveling legs that may need adjustment. For unbalanced load you just need to pause the cycle and then lift lid and redistribute the wash inside. Hope this helps. Geoff@GEA

If your washer and dryer are stacked together, we don't recommend you installing them as one unit with a pedestal as well, for both accessibility and safety reasons. We also cannot recommend using our GE products in combination with another brand; again, this is because such a combination hasn't been tested for safety or reliability.     • Answer Just to follow up on earlier answer, our washer is model GFW148SSMWW and dryer is model GFD14ESSNWW. p.s. we've had some negative experiences with other brands but now, besides the washer and dryer, our home also has GE refrigerator, ovens, and dishwasher. Happy to report all have worked great with no problems!

While this 4" laundry riser accessory is not compatible with your model, you can use the GFP1528SNWW 16" pedestal to raise your unit! This pedestal also includes a storage drawer with an adjustable divider, is tall enough to fit a full-sized laundry detergent bottle, and provides multi-use storage.
