“I’ve had this fridge for about 10 days now. It just seems to run all the time. Is this normal or should I call for a repair. It doesn’t run continuously but it does seem to run more than it’s off.”

Hello. Congratulations on your new refrigerator purchase! We understand your concern regarding the unit run time and we are glad to assist. For refrigerators to maintain proper temperature, the compressor will run much of the time. Newer refrigerators have compressors that are designed to run 80% to 90% of the time. This makes them more energy efficient because the greatest amount of energy is used when the compressor cycles on as opposed to when the compressor is actually running.
