A:AnswerHi Sparkster- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for viewing! No, we currently do not offer a side-by-side model without a factory-installed icemaker. Thanks for checking with us!
A:AnswerHello. We're glad that you loved your old refrigerator and are interested in a new one! The extra letters are a part of an engineering code. When the model is manufactured, these extra letters are placed on the appliance rating plate and product registration card. These letters are used to identify manufacturing specific data when the appliance is made. Should service or parts be needed, these are used as identifiers for the specific appliance. We hope this helps, and if you have any additional questions, please reach out. We are happy to help!- Kianna@GEA
A:AnswerHi Sunshine. We'd love to help! Based on our research, we think you'll really like the following model: GFE24JGKBB. This model has a high gloss finish. However, if you're not a fan of this model, we would recommend reaching out to Best Buy to see if you could view some refrigerators in person to find the finish that's right for you. We hope that this helps! Stay safe.
A:AnswerHi - Thanks for viewing GE! Model # GSS25GGHWW is manufactured globally and not in the USA. GE Appliances products are designed by GE Appliances engineers in the United States. Many are manufactured in the U.S. and others are made globally to our specifications. The country of origin is shown on the Model/Serial rating plate as well as the packaging. Manufacturing facilities (plant sites, where appliances are made) can and do change from time to time because GE Appliances continues to seek the most efficient manufacturing processes available. We make products all over the world for a Global marketplace. Therefore, your best source for manufacturing location is the packaging/product itself. A:AnswerHi Sassy - Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your GE refrigerator. We are sorry to hear only the freezer is working and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We suggest resetting the electronics by unplugging the refrigerator or by turning off power at the home circuit breaker for 30 seconds or so. A qualified GE service technician is required for an accurate diagnosis. To schedule service online, visit us at GEAppliances.com or call 1.800.GE.CARES (800.432.2737). A:AnswerHi LizU- Thanks for your purchase! The new high efficiency compressor may run faster and longer than your old refrigerator. When the surrounding noise level is low, you may hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while it is operating. Sometimes the refrigerator runs for an extended period, especially when the doors are opened frequently. This means that the Frost Guard™ feature is working to prevent freezer burn and improve food preservation. You may hear the fans spinning at high speeds. This happens when the refrigerator is first plugged in, when the doors are opened frequently or when a large amount of food is added to the refrigerator or freezer compartments. The fans are helping to maintain the correct temperatures. If either door is open for over 3 minutes, you may hear the fans come on in order to cool the light bulbs. The fans change speeds in order to provide optimal cooling and energy savings. Also, when first installed, an empty or lightly loaded freezer can cause higher run times. The type of installation (built-in or freestanding), floor type (wood, tile) and room acoustics can all affect the normal operating sounds that you may hear. Make sure the refrigerator is level. See page 25 of the Installation Guide: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60646-5.pdf - Any other sounds may require a technician for diagnosis.
