QuestionWhat all do I have to do for this model to become permanent under the countertop? And how do you take the wheels off? And do I need to take off the casing around it? Does it sit directly on the floor once I take the wheels off? What about the capacitor?

- Answer Pretty sure that it needs a kit to convert the plumbing over as it comes as a portable. Your also may need an electrician to hook up the electricity depending on codes. And yes the casing and wheels will need to come off but does not look very difficult to do. If your house has already had a builtin dishwasher, it should not be a very difficult project, BUT make sure your opening will work with the size of the dishwasher.

QuestionHaving issues with water getting into machine. Hose has been connected to faucet with provided adapter. But water pressure blows line off the faucet at any pressure we have the water on. What could cause these issues?

QuestionDoes this dishwasher have the plumbing connections on the bottom or in the back? Our set up is on the bottom now but the counter doesn't extend to allow a regular dishwasher.

- Answer On the back right side towards the top. Most portables are in the center of the back.

QuestionBefore using my GE portable dishwasher for the first time, I read where I should add 2 quarts of water to the bottom of the dishwasher to lubricate the pump seal. Nowhere online when I read about this dishwasher does it ever mention this. Is this true?

- Answer Hi Sparky- Thanks for choosing GE! If the dishwasher is new, it may not have any water in it. This can cause a "squeal" or "rattling" sound the first time it is used. If this happens, we suggest to add one quart of water to the bottom of the tub and the noise should go away. The water lubricates the pump seals. - Answer Haven't had a problem when accidentally left on however I would turn it off especially if you have high water pressure. Just don't want to take the chance of a hose or a fitting developing a leak. .

QuestionOur dishwasher has to have a water connection from the right rear corner, with a three-foot hose. It has to reach the sink and any less won't work for us.

QuestionIs this dishwasher supposed to "klunck" when it is finished with a cycle? It runs very quitely, but when it changes any cycle it sounds like something is breaking.

- Answer Yes, for potable use only. Comes already installed. Hose fully extended is about 3 to 4 feet. Long enough to back the dishwasher to standing in front of the sink and reaching the faucet nozzle.

The racks are constructed of high quality steel wire coated with smooth, durable, plastic, that is tough yet resilient to protect your dishes and roll smoothly on an easy-glide roller system. Also, odors associated with new appliances are normal. The processes used during manufacturing often may leave a "newness" odor that may not dissipate until after several washing cycles. You can alleviate this condition by running the dishwasher through several cycles using detergent. Thanks for checking with us!
