“My window opening is only 25 inches wide. . Will this unit, with the kit be too big to fit in the window? According to the specs, it needs a little over 27 inches.. So even if the surrounding kit is fully collapsed, will it still not fit my window? l”

We appreciate your interest in our air conditioner! The minimum window opening that will work is 21.88" while the maximum window opening is 36". More information about the window requirements is available on page 11 of the manual, which can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page.
