“How much ice does this make? I see specs for some models and the range is 1 lb to 4 lbs?”

Not enough! The ice container is on one of the doors and is very small. My old refrigerator had a large container but took up more freezer space. So with the new bottom freezer you gain storage space but lose ice space.

Hi ab- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for viewing! The refrigerator features a space-saving icemaker on the fresh food door and will make approximately 3.6 pounds of ice per day. Also, always have extra ice on hand with an optional second icemaker in the freezer (IM5D kit sold separately). IM5D icemaker makes approximately 100-130 cubes (3.5-4.5 pounds) in a 24-hour period.
