It may or may not fit the existing opening. GE says it will but I replaced a 33 year old GE 27" with a new GE 27" wall oven and the cabinet had to be modified slightly.

Thank you for reaching out to us! The original recommended cutout dimensions for your current wall oven should be 24-3/4”W x 41-1/4”H x 24” D, with at least 21-5/8” from the floor. Please note that this is slightly different from what is required for models such as JK3800SHSS. We recommend measuring your current cutout to see what modifications may be required to fit the new unit.
