Hi Lucky! Thanks for your question! We're finding that your 1980 model has the following cutout space requirements: Cabinet width: 27", cutout width: 24 3/4" max, cutout height: 41 1/4" max, cutout depth: 24" min, cutout location from floor: 21 5/8" min. - For the new model, the cabinet width is the same as your old model. The cutout width needs to be 25" min, 25 1/4" max, cutout height: 41 1/8" min, 41 1/4" max, cutout depth: 23 1/2" min, recommend minimum cutout location from floor: 21 5/8". This model will make for a nice replacement! With all of that in mind, some adjustments may need to be made to your cutout space to accommodate this new appliance.
