Q: QuestionI am looking to replace my 20 year old Kenmore wall oven microwave with the GE 27" wall oven microwave combo. My question is my current Kenmore wall oven is not vented from the back. Does the GE 27" wall oven/microwave require a rear vent?

• A:Answer Yes. While there is only one set of controls, you can use both at the same time, and the timer also. Only one timer however. The screen gets divided to show information about everything you are doing.

• A:Answer i found that what is advertised as a 27” wide unit actually fit in an opening of about 24 1/2 inches. Evidently the manufacturers measure the outside dimensions of the unit itself (the front) instead of what size opening will work. Sort of like lumber. A “2 x 4” will not actually measure 2 inches by 4 inches. It’s smaller.
