A:AnswerThank you for asking this great question! You occasionally may see frost build up within the freezer. Frost inside the freezer typically indicates that the door is not properly sealed or has been left open. If frost is found, you can clear the frost by using a plastic spatula and towel. We hope this helps, and if you have any additional questions, please reach out to us. All the best – Matthew@GEA
A:AnswerHi there - we're excited to give you more information about this refrigerator! You don't need to connect a water line to this refrigerator to operate it and the electrical outlet is sufficient. Please do keep in mind that this unit is icemaker-ready and if you ever want to add the accessory (#IM4D) to the refrigerator, you must have a water connection. -- We hope you found this helpful. Have a great week. - Pablo@GEA
A:AnswerHello- Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! This refrigerator will have this label. Starting in early August 2018, we began adding new labels to our products to comply with the new Prop 65 requirements. Proposition 65 requires companies to provide written warnings regarding consumer products that contain certain chemicals that the Governor has determined cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Note: We evaluate all chemicals in our products and comply with state and federal chemical content laws. We provide the Proposition 65 warning when a listed chemical is present, even when there is little or no exposure potential. We hope this is helpful! For additional information on Proposition 65, please review the following link. https://www.p65warnings.ca.gov/ Thank you! Joyce@GEA

A:AnswerHi Joanne - Thanks for choosing GE Model GTS17DTNRWW! We are sorry to hear the refrigerator is not cooling below 50 degrees and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Allow about 24 hours for the unit to cool down and stabilize after initial installation. If 24 has passed and the controls have been set properly but the unit is still warm, you may need to schedule service. A:AnswerHi JCCA - Thanks for considering GE Model # GTE17DTNRWW! Newer automatic defrost refrigerators have a NeverClean Condenser that does not require cleaning or maintenance. The condenser coils are located in the compressor housing instead of on the back, keeping them clean and functioning optimally. This design allows for more efficient airflow.
The coils will not require cleaning under normal condition since they are encased. While it is not necessary for the performance of the refrigerator, if you want to clean dust, pet hair, etc. off the floor beneath the refrigerator, an appliance brush or vacuum with a hose attachment can be used. Take a look at the following link - REFRIGERATOR NEVERCLEAN CONDENSER: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16897 - Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com for all your appliance needs! A:AnswerNo it does not. It cost 19.99 to haul it away. Make sure the haul away charge is on your receipt before leaving. I didn't and people delivering my frig wanted $50.00 to haul it away.....TALK ABOUT CROOKS!!
A:AnswerFor easy movement, the leveling legs can be fully retracted so the unit is sitting on wheels. If transporting, the refrigerator can be moved on it's side. However, we recommend standing the refrigerator upright before connecting to power, for an equal amount of time that it was on it's side, up to 24 hours. The refrigerator weighs 152 lbs.
A:AnswerNo, this refrigerator is not considered garage ready. For proper operation, it must be installed in an environment between 55 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
