Hi Electricjack - Thanks for choosing GE! We are sorry to hear your washer will not agitate and glad to offer assistance. If the washer stops after filling, check the house circuit breaker/fuse as well as the outlet and plug. Washers should be plugged into their own separate outlet. If it is not a power supply issue, check the following troubleshooting link for tips- TOP LOAD WASHER FILLS BUT WILL NOT AGITATE: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17398 - Also, you may need to reset the motor. View MOTOR RESET VIDEO: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17391 - Contact GE Appliance Service at 1-800-432-2737 or schedule a service appointment online: http://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm?ICID=GEARsupportflyout-service - We hope this is helpful.
