• Hello Danny. This washer does not have a brake. When it is finished spinning, it coasts to a stop. The lid locks during spin, but pausing the unit will cause the basket to coast to a stop and unlock the lid. You can readjust clothing, etc., close the lid and press Start again to resume spinning. • What I mean is that when the spin cycle ends the tumbler continues to spin for almost four or five minutes. Isn't there a brake to stop the spin ?

• I'm not sure what you mean by braking system. However, you can hit the pause button to stop from spinning. You can not open the lid while spinning, unless you pause it.
