“Does spin cycle change for delicate & heavy wash. I don't want delicates torn or wrinkled by harsh, long spin. If not please direct me to non-he washer that does this. Thank you. Paula”

Hi Paula- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest in our Top Load Washers! The spin cycle does not change between any of the wash cycles. Lower spin speeds are not offered on modern washers due to energy regulations. It has been demonstrated by independent laboratories that the spin cycle does not tear up clothes but rather an inappropriate agitation. This is why we developed the unique “tri-pulse” extra gentle agitate profile to provide special care to delicate fabrics. The Delicates cycle on our GTW330 model is more gentle on clothes than most all agitator washers ever made in the past by any manufacturer. Thanks for reaching out to us!
