If you are saying you only have the hot water hose hooked up, you should hook up the cold water hose as well. I like a super hot wash as well. I put the temp selector on hot. I push start to fill the tub. I immediately turn the cold water faucet off and let the tub fill with hot water. I then turn the cold water faucet back on. It uses cold water for the rinse cycle.
