No. You put your detergent in, then you load your laundry in evenly. After that, choose a load size, water temp and cycle, then close the lid and push start. That’s all there is to it!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had to take mine off of precise fill and change it to medium or large fill. I'm using cold water only. Also the clothes are too wet to put in the dryer, so I have to put it on the spin cycle again. Not happy with this purchase
