This is not something we would expect from this model and we completely understand your frustration. Since unplugging and plugging the unit back in did not resolve the issue, we recommend scheduling an appointment with one of our appliance technicians. You can schedule an appointment with a certified GE Appliance technician by calling 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET or Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET.
