Thanks for answering my question. The machine wasn't on top of hose and it only sits 3 ft off the ground. So I did a reset method I found online - unplugging unit for 1 min, within 15 seconds of plugging back in open/close door 6 times - which reset the unit and worked properly after that.

Hello, Thanks for asking! We appreciate you choosing GE Appliances and we'd love to provide you with an answer. We found that your issue may be caused by a kink in the drain hose. We suggest straightening the drain hose and making sure washer is not sitting on it. The top of drain outlet should be less than 8 Ft. (2.5 m) above floor as well.
