Hi Willard- We are excited to hear of your interest in our GE Unitized Spacemaker® Laundry Unit! Unitized washer dryer units operate on one power cord. This appliance should be connected to an individual, properly-grounded branch circuit with 120/240V or 120/208V single-phase 60 Hz electrical service and should be protected by 30-amp time-delay fuses or circuit breakers KW Rating per voltage (240/208). The figure 120/240 simply means one side of the 240 line operates the motor and 240 operates the heaters. The nominal voltage is 240 volt, but homes may have 208V, 220V, or 240V power supply. Any appliance that is rated for 240 volts and can also be used on a 220V or 208V outlet. The power cord should be purchased separately. Thanks for considering GE. SUEatGEA
