Hi-this is Sue from GE. I am happy to assist you. Model GTWN4250DWS ENERGY STAR® qualified; therefore, it meets or exceeds federal guidelines for energy efficiency and provides year-round energy and money savings. This is a high-efficiency washing machine. This system requires less water while providing effective cleaning action. You may notice that the water level is lower than on your previous washer. This is normal. It features PreciseFill with the option of 5 water level selections. PreciseFill will automatically measure the load size and add just the right amount of water for the load. Or, you can manually choose from one of the 5 water level settings, Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, or Super. Thanks for checking with us!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to the manual you have to run to small, quick cycles without clothes to calibrate the machine. Most people with the same problem as you missed that in the manual. Have you tried manually setting the first dial to a larger/higher setting?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't use auto sense. Auto sense is a problem with all washers don't know why just is.Set it manually works great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same issue. I DO NOT use the auto water setting. I basically have to do smaller loads, and more of them, which is irritating. The tub is so nice and deep it would be nice to have a setting for "fill it up". I do understand about water restrictions, but I live in an area where luckily we don't have them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is true that the water will not cover the clothes on the precise fill setting so if you don't like that set the water level higher on the selector and put in less clothes. I experimented with various methods because of the water level and determined that if I pretreated everything for spots, added a bit of clorox 2 and put in less clothes that setting will clean everything and save me money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nothing wrong with the machine. It is with the regulations imposed on manufacturers to use less water. I fill up mine with a hose after it stops filling automatically. Make sure that you don't overflow it. Just to cover the clothes, never passed the top of the agitator's fins.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.High efficiency washers run with very little water and HE detergent. Bypass the auto fill and set the load size manually and use regular detergent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
