“We purchased this GUD27ESSMWW last May. We got our remodel done enough to install it. I loaded the washer and the water came in fine. But the "agitator" doesn't move. But it makes a noise. It did drain and it spun. What could be wrong with agitator?”

Hi Peggysue - Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your GE laundry center GUD27ESSMWW. We are sorry to hear it does not agitate and glad to help. If the washer fills but never starts to agitate, make sure the drain hose is raised to 30" high. Any less will cause water to siphon back out of tub as it is filling. Take a look at the following link (video): https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17399 - The washer will automatically drain any time the lid is left open for more than 15 minutes and water is present and will automatically drain if left in a paused state with the lid closed for more than 24 hours and water is present.
