QuestionOur present installation has a 36 inch GE Cooktop that is approximately 20 years old. The circuit breaker that supplies current to the present unit is 30amp. I do not know the gauge of the connecting wiring. Will I need to have the circuit wiring incr?

- Answer Hi BigAL- The recommended circuit breaker size for GE® JP3036DLBB is 40Amp (208V/240V). (POWER / RATINGS: Max. Connected Load (kW) at 208V =7.1; Max. Connected Load (kW) at 240V= 9.0; Max. Current Draw (Amps) at 208V=34.3; Max. Current Draw (Amps) at 240V= 37.5). QuestionWe are considering this cooktop as a replacement. I measured the dimensions of my existing cooktop and it is 36.5" x 21.75" (including the stainless steel trim). The diagram show it needs 20 3/8" which is an inch less. Will this model work for us?
