“I am considering a new cooktop and have looked for one with coils but cannot find one. I like the glasstop models but my wife is concerned it will break. Have the coil versions been discontinued and is the glasstop surface cooktops durable?”

Do not do it. Never with BEST BUY. It took 4 months to be delivered. It will require a LICENSED and BONDED Electrician to install. The BEST BUY installers were neither. They could not even figure out how to pull the electrical breaker to the COOK TOP that they were to replace. They took my cash for the install, that never happened, and have not felt any urgency to return it to me. If you let BEST BUY install it, and the TECHS are not LICENSED and BONDED, it may invalidate your home owners insurance. Go to a reputable store. Verify the intallers credentials BEFORE making any purchase. NEVER USE BEST BUY
