Q: QuestionThe dimensions say it is 4 and 3/4" high. is that total inches from bottom of the unit that will be beneath the countertop to the top of the grates. I need to know how many inches will be below the surface of the countertop. I have a drawer underneath
Asked by Bumblebee.
- A:Answer Hello Bumblebee, Thank you so much for reaching out. We're happy to assist! The 4-3/4" is the total height of the appliance. When installing, allow 7/16" minimum vertical clearance from the cooktop bottom (or 3-11/16" minimum depth from the countertop)to any combustible surfaces, such as a cabinet drawer. We recommend checking the installation instructions for additional details. Best wishes. Mike@GEA

Asked by Collann.
This question was asked about the related product: GE - 30" Built-In Gas Cooktop - Stainless Steel
- A:Answer Choosing the burner you wish to use may depend on the item you're preparing or the size of the pot or pan you need to use. The front left and right rear burners are the higher BTU burners. These burners are particularly useful when cooking or heating large amounts of liquid for soup or pasta. We do have the distance between the burners available to share with you. The distance between the centerpoint of front and rear burners on each side is approx. 9" and the distance between the centerpoint of the two front burners and between the two rear burners is approx. 11.9".
